Dharamshala School

ISPS Dharamsala was founded by Shri Mataji in 1990. Starting with only 30 pupils, the school now has nearly 250 students, from Class 1 (6 year olds) to Class 10 (15 year olds). There are about 65 international teaching, dormitory and administration staff, who live on-site in a spectacular setting below the 5,000 metre peaks of the Dhawalgiri Himalayas.

The school is constantly changing and developing - and with a number of new building projects, a refreshed syllabus, and a new emphasis on creative learning and extra curricular activities, this is an exciting time to join this great project.

For the 2007 session, which runs from the end of March, after Birthday Puja, to Christmas Puja, the position of the ISPS School Principal is still vacant:

Working in the dorms is a demanding and challenging occupation, but one that is rewarding in equal measure. Dorm aunties/uncles lead a central role in the ongoing development of the school. We need committed Yogi/nis who can stay for at least one year, commitment for two years is preferred.

Regardless of your speciality, the fundamental qualities required at the school are as follows:

  • Desire to live in a large Sahaja collective and to form part of the staff team that underpins everything the school stands for.
  • A loving, caring and 100% Sahaja approach to living and working with children and adults.
