Nirmal Nagari, Canajoharie, New York
Friday, August 8th - Sunday, August 10th, 2003

The North and South American collectives are blessed to invite the World Collective
to the most joyous occasion of the International Shri Krishna Puja at Canajoharie,
New York. The puja will once again take place on Shri Mataji's chosen land
of Nirmal Nagari, amid the meadows and farmlands of rural upstate New York.
The
puja seminar will take place from Friday, August 8th through Sunday, August
10th. During the puja weekend, the host countries will offer entertainment
programs on Friday and Saturday evenings. In addition, there will various events
such as Sahaja Yoga workshops, Children activities, Yuva Shakti activities
and first time ever an international Art exhibition of
the art produced by Sahaja Yogis from around the world. The Puja itself will
be
on Sunday, August 10th.
The preparations have already begun. There were over
75 Sahaja Yogis on the land this past weekend to start preparing Nirmal Nagari
for the Puja; many
of them will continue to stay on until the Puja weekend. Canajoharie is
an all year long Sahaj community. It is a home and a town of Sahaja Yoga to
all of us. There are always things to do, fun activities and a meditative,
rejuvenating and an uplifting environment. Help is always needed to prepare
the seminar site to improve the facilities on the land. Anyone who is able
to come early to help is most welcome (men and ladies). Prior to the puja
weekend, there is only a $6 per person per day cost that includes wonderful,
vibrated food made by Sahaja Yogis.
Just like previous years, there is an
informative web site with many kinds of useful information about Shri Krishna
Puja 2003. Please access this
website to make arrangements to do with arrival and transportation. The
address is http://www.sahajayoga.org/krishna
Cost:
The puja registration costs are as follows:
Adults - $250
Students - $150
Children 6 - 18 - $125
Children 2 - 5 - $21
Please register collectively by country or by North American center before
the puja.
Accommodations:
The hangar will accommodate some yogis. Large tents will also be provided for
men and ladies. Yogis are encouraged to rent cars and bring tents. The land
is in a remote farming area, about a 15-minute drive to any store, town or hotel.
Information about car rentals and directions from all points to the land can
be found on the web site.

The refreshing men's and ladies ponds are ready to welcome you, complete with
soothing mud packs to cool you down. There is a lovely courtyard with a café
waiting to receive you, and paths to ensure that in any weather you will be
able to find your way. This year, we have prepared showers with running water.
It is Shri Mataji's Desire that as many yogis as possible sleep on the land.
However, there is a list of hotels in the area on the web site for elderly yogis,
yogis with health problems, and yogis with extremely young infants. There are
a very limited number of hotel rooms in the area this time of year.
Please bring sleeping bags, and enough clothes for the entire stay, as there
may not be sufficient water to do hand-washing on the land. Mothers with very
young children should bring enough food for the stay as there are no shops within
walking distance of the land. A mini-store will be set up with necessities and
mothers will be able to store milk in refrigerators in the kitchen area.
Transportation:
Please access the website http://www.sahajayoga.org/krishna
for detailed transportation information and sign up.
